Server Settings

Remote Database Path & Filename: For all users during production, this should be set to "smm". For testing purposes, this should be set to "testdata". At any time, users may select "testdata" to test a particular function without fear of destroying data in the real database.

Server Name: This field should be set to DC1WCSG for all Cost Monitor users unless instructed specifically to change it. Under certain circumstances, the DR1WCSG server may be offline. This may be a time when users are requested to select a different server.

To select a different server, drop the drop down control and select DR1WCSG. Now click the Test Connection button. You will be prompted to test the log in. Once the test is successful, you will be required to login a second time to make the connection permanent. This change will now be effective for future sessions until it is changed again to another server.

Database Information: Additionally, server information with regard to connection count and server memory usage is displayed. This information may be of assistance to support staff.
