This tab is visible to all users.

Program Directory: Is not editable. Confirms the path to the executable file ers.exe.

Import Directory: Not used at this time.

Document Directory: All purchase orders are converted to acrobat reader .pdf format and stored as such with the naming convention: PO-nnnnn.pdf where nnnnn is the leading zero filled number of the job to which it relates. Fax memos are also stored in this folder with the naming convention FX-nnnnn.pdf. Please ensure you select a folder to which you have write access. This can be a shared network drive.

Export Directory: Used for data exports e.g. excel (.csv) file exports.

Remote Database Path & Filename: For all users during production, this should be set to "smm". For testing purposes, this should be set to "testdata". At any time, users may select "testdata" to test a particular function without fear of destroying data in the real database.

Server Name: This field should be set to TJSCSG-SMM1 for all ERS users unless instructed specifically to change it. Under certain circumstances, the DOCBUILD103 server may be offline. This may be a time when users are requested to select a different server.

To select a different server, drop the drop down control and select TJSCSG-AD1 or the server name advised for the change. Then click the Test Connection button. You will be prompted to test the log in. Once the test is successful, you will be required to login a second time to make the connection permanent. This change will now be effective for future sessions until it is changed again to another server.
