Estimate line items are entered by typing directly into the line item data grid.
The expected sequence of data entry is to enter item ID, Quantity, and dimensions while in the Comments view. Once all lien items have been entered, the view can be switched to Costing where labour and material adjustments can be made for each item if/where necessary.
Recalculation of total volume, total price and the back-divided unit rate (per m3) is achieved every time the enter key is pressed.
When data is entered quickly, it may be most convenient to tab between the field/columns of the grid. When a dimension is entered and recalculation is desired, confirm data entry by pressing the enter key – all calculations are refreshed.
