The New Schedule Wizard

The New Schedule wizard provides for a rational way to force the collection of essential data for the creation of a Production Schedule.

There are three pages of information set out in the wizard. When converting from an estimate, some of this information is already stated in the estimate and is displayed in the wizard. This information can be changed if required before the Production Schedule is finally created.

The new schedule will take the estimate title as it's title by default and the be assigned to the same project and work order as the estimate. These details may be changed in the wizard.

By selecting the next button or the Schedule Settings on the tab selector, planned start date and stone details can be confirmed.

The last page requires that an expected completion date be entered. When these details have been entered and confirmed, the Finish button can be pressed to convert the existing estimate, including details item listings to a Production Schedule.

If the estimate has already been converted, the OK and Finish buttons will not be enabled. Cancel the wizard and uncheck the "Scheduled" checkbox of the estimate if you wish to continue. You will then create a duplicate schedule as you have done previously. WARNING – Active Production Schedules become a part of Work-in-Hand reporting, duplicates will double the value of work in hand.
