Estimate Items

The estimate items are numbered and listed in item number order. Items can be simply dragged into another position on the sheet which will force a renumbering of the items to reflect the new position.

Each item is provided with 2 coding fields Quantity Group (QGRP) and Rate Group (RGRP) codes fields which provide for quick summary rollups and provide for cost code allocation and assignment for later monitoring.

Item descriptions are capable of rich text formatting and items can be declared as Heading lines which removes the quantity, rate and total fields from display and formats the description in bold and a slightly larger font. This operation can be reversed but the process also deletes any quantity and rate backup if they exist and this data cannot be recovered.

The display can show multiple lines of item description and when 2 or more lines are displayed, the normal and overtime labour hours fields are also accessible.

Increasing and decreasing the lines on display is available thru the popup menu.

Items which have a quantity or rate sheet as backup for the calculation are presented in bold. Quantity and rate in normal text do not have a backup sheet.
