Log Submissions

The default log submission date is 26th of the month. After this date logs may be entered but any attempt to submit logs to the database will be denied. This will force all activity to fall within the month end period as defined from time to time by the accounts personnel.

Colors

In some ways, the major views of the application appear quite similar. Major views have therefore been assigned default colours to help users recognise which view they are working on. The user can change these colours in the event that the colour monitor or eyesight preference requires that more or less contrast between views is desirable. It is possible to return the colour scheme to its default at anytime.

Reporting Items (current month)

The current reporting month is updated each time the application if started. It can, however, be modified for the time of the application session. This can provide a means of reporting on previous reporting periods. The cut-off day is the day after which the current reporting period is reported. For example:

Cut-off period = 12

Current reporting month = 7

Current date = 10th

A report drawn from these settings will report the 6th month.

Auto Save

Auto save is by default, set to on and the period between saves is set to 5 minutes. Every 5 minutes all edits are saved to the database server and will become visible to any/all other users after they refresh their view on the data. Unless specifically instructed to change them, it is recommended that these settings remain at their default.
